Privacy

1. Data we collect

• Email address, profile name, and profile image received from sign-in providers (Google, Kakao, Apple — Apple may return a private relay email)
• One-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address (for abuse detection; retained for 30 days)
• Your device/browser User-Agent string (for abuse detection)
• Visited page path, access time, same-origin transfer size, and an anonymous session
• Ad requests and whether an ad area was filled
• Topics, comments, votes, reactions, and reports you create

2. How we use it

• Account identification and session management
• Content display and statistical aggregation
• Anonymous aggregation of usage and ad display status
• Detecting abuse, duplicate accounts, and automated traffic
• Compliance with legal obligations and dispute resolution

3. Retention

Upon account deletion, all identifying information is anonymised after a 30-day grace period. IP hashes are automatically purged after 30 days. Content may remain with the author attributed anonymously.

4. Third-party sharing

We do not share personal information without your permission or a legal requirement. Optional analytics and advertising processing follows sections 5, 7 and 8 and the respective provider policies.

5. Sub-processors

We use Google AdSense (with advertising consent), Google Analytics (with analytics consent), Google OAuth, Kakao OAuth, Apple Sign-in, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push delivery), and Cloudflare to operate the service. Each sub-processor's own privacy policy applies to data they handle.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data at any time. Account deletion is available directly from the account section of your profile page.

7. Advertising

AsKrs uses Google AdSense. Cookies and advertising identifiers used by AdSense partners are governed by Google advertising policies.

8. Cookie controls

Analytics and advertising run only after separate permission. Rejecting both does not prevent voting or commenting. Analytics consent enables aggregate public-page usage and Google Analytics when configured. Search terms, comment content and private profile paths are not sent to analytics. Performance records retain a random document metric identifier, device category, LCP/INP/CLS values and observation times for 28 days, without URLs, DOM data, account or cookie identifiers. Unsupported metrics or metrics without interactions remain unmeasured.

Choices stay in this browser for 180 days. Change or withdraw permission below or in the footer. Withdrawal removes the corresponding first-party analytics or advertising cookies and reloads the page to stop running scripts. Cookies set by other sites can be managed through those sites or browser settings. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals block optional cookies. Essential sign-in, language, theme, anonymous-vote protection and security storage remain available.

Weekly digest email requires a separate opt-in in notification settings and goes only to your verified account email. It is independent of reply and topic alerts and can be cancelled in settings or through a digest email. Consent time, consent version and weekly delivery status are recorded to prevent duplicates. Your individual voting choices are never included.
