Baek Jong-won's appearance in the background of an in-flight video from an overseas beauty account with 1.26 million followers attracted attention online. The reporting also described his North American business schedule, but did not establish that he participated in filming the video or promoted beauty products. His incidental appearance in the same frame should be distinguished from interpretations linking it to recent controversies in the restaurant industry. The case concerns how images of other people in public videos can spread independently of the original purpose of filming.
