Should code volume be excluded from measuring development productivity?
Would one code-volume measure fairly reflect removing code, fixing a problem and adding a feature? The purpose of the work and the quality of its result can differ from the amount written. Should the count be excluded from productivity assessment, used only as context or retained as a measure?
